Deputy Julio César Moreno

He is a lawyer with a specialization in Public Administration and Fiscal Oversight, as well as training in Political Studies and Government. His professional career combines knowledge of public administration and oversight mechanisms with legislative experience and the defense of human rights, within a political orientation rooted in centrist humanism and Christian democracy.

He has experience in public management, fiscal oversight and parliamentary work. He has served on the Standing Committees on Defense and Security, on Oversight, and on People’s Power and Media. From exile, he continues to take part in initiatives to strengthen the rule of law and the democratic transition, along with political coordination work in the National Leadership of Primero Justicia.

He chairs the Committee on Media and Communication of the Delegated Committee of the 2015 National Assembly. His work focuses on defending freedom of expression, access to public information, institutional transparency and guarantees for the exercise of press freedom.

He began his professional career in the National Congress of Venezuela. He was elected to the National Assembly for the state of Falcón in the 2015 elections and served as an alternate member of the Mercosur Parliament (Parlasur), taking part in the Parliament’s international representation and the defense of constitutional order.
